Paving in Cheshire

Acorn Landscape Services recently completed a small but important project in Lower Peover, Cheshire, focusing on repairing an existing pathway along with minor tarmac reinstatement. While this was not a large-scale landscaping development, maintenance work like this plays a vital role in keeping outdoor spaces safe, functional, and visually presentable
The customer contacted us regarding a pathway that had deteriorated over time due to weather exposure and regular foot traffic. Sections of the surface had become uneven and worn, creating potential trip hazards and reducing the overall appearance of the area.
In addition to the pathway issues, adjoining areas of tarmac required attention. Cracking and surface wear had started to develop, and early intervention was needed to prevent further deterioration.
Our team began by removing the damaged and unstable sections of the pathway, ensuring the base beneath was properly prepared and compacted. Proper groundwork is essential to guarantee long-term durability, even on smaller repair projects.
Once the base was stabilised, the path surface was carefully reinstated to create a smooth, level finish. The adjoining tarmac repairs were then completed, with patching carried out to blend seamlessly into the surrounding surface.
The end result is a safe, tidy, and functional pathway that restores usability while improving the overall appearance of the space.
This project highlights the importance of proactive paving in Cheshire. Addressing minor defects early helps to prevent more extensive and costly reconstruction in the future. Routine maintenance not only extends the lifespan of surfaces but also ensures compliance with safety expectations for both private and public spaces.
For property managers and local authorities, Cheshire East Council, take note that preventative maintenance and surface repairs should form part of an ongoing asset management strategy.
